Ballet

Last night as I opened Bloglovin', I saw this beautiful photo on the main page.

I instantly clicked on it to find a blog entry on A Cup of Jo about an intriguing documentary series about the New York City Ballet

Although, it was quite late, I couldn't resist watching the first season.

(I haven't watched the second season yet, which is available since yesterday. So no spoilers, please!)

But it wasn't my first ballet documentary. A few months ago I discovered First position on the Designlovefest blog. It was really magical.

Ballet is an interesting thing. It is beautiful and cruel. For me, it's about pushing your body and the perfection of each and every movement. I think, it's fascinating.

Do you enjoy watching ballet? Do you go to various dance performances? Do you enjoy watching documentaries? Let me know in the Comments below. (Mind you, I set all comments to moderate, so it may take a while to appear.)

New tracklist in the making

I've grown bored with my current, mostly Glee-loaded playlist, so I decided it was high time to compile a new one. But it's never easy. Because you can feel that you're ready for a change, but in this moment of transition you don't really know yet what you want.

First, I picked up these two songs. The first one after reading the interview with Helena Noguerra in Janette, which is a brand new women's magazine in Luxembourg.

The second one I picked up a few days later from a friend's Facebook wall.

Then over the weekend, in the hope of gaining some inspiration, I deleted about 20 songs from the current tracklist I always skipped. Then I got stuck, so I asked my friends to suggest me some 'new' music.

In response to my query I've received an awesome variety of songs. Here are some:

We are done by The Madden Brothers (I used to be a Good Charlotte fan, so I was surprised to see that they had split up!)
S.O.S. by Indila (Isn't it the perfect wake up in the morning song? /based on the music, not the lyrics/)

I've also discovered Shawn Colvin, the Be Good Tanyas, Gillian Welch and the Postmodern Jukebox.

Then this afternoon I added this song to my new tracklist:

Besides music I've got an awesome glimpse into the world of my friends and that totally made my day.

What's your current favourite song? Do you compile tracklists? If yes, where do you pick up songs from? Let me know in the Comments below. (Mind you, I set all comments to moderate, so it may take a while to appear.)
