Friday Five #1

I decided to join the masses and share my favourite links every Friday. Excited?

1. The best things you can find at London's Borough Market. (food, obviously!)
2. Your confessions exposed. (exhibition)
3. This travel playlist is simply hilarious.
4. Have you ever thought of moving to Finland? You should!
5. I really loved the photos in this blog entry. I wish someone would take some similar ones of me!

Do you create link-up entries? What inspired you this week? What are you looking for right now? Let me know in the Comments below. (Mind you, I set all comments to moderate, so it may take a while to appear.)

Ballet

Last night as I opened Bloglovin', I saw this beautiful photo on the main page.

I instantly clicked on it to find a blog entry on A Cup of Jo about an intriguing documentary series about the New York City Ballet

Although, it was quite late, I couldn't resist watching the first season.

(I haven't watched the second season yet, which is available since yesterday. So no spoilers, please!)

But it wasn't my first ballet documentary. A few months ago I discovered First position on the Designlovefest blog. It was really magical.

Ballet is an interesting thing. It is beautiful and cruel. For me, it's about pushing your body and the perfection of each and every movement. I think, it's fascinating.

Do you enjoy watching ballet? Do you go to various dance performances? Do you enjoy watching documentaries? Let me know in the Comments below. (Mind you, I set all comments to moderate, so it may take a while to appear.)

New tracklist in the making

I've grown bored with my current, mostly Glee-loaded playlist, so I decided it was high time to compile a new one. But it's never easy. Because you can feel that you're ready for a change, but in this moment of transition you don't really know yet what you want.

First, I picked up these two songs. The first one after reading the interview with Helena Noguerra in Janette, which is a brand new women's magazine in Luxembourg.

The second one I picked up a few days later from a friend's Facebook wall.

Then over the weekend, in the hope of gaining some inspiration, I deleted about 20 songs from the current tracklist I always skipped. Then I got stuck, so I asked my friends to suggest me some 'new' music.

In response to my query I've received an awesome variety of songs. Here are some:

We are done by The Madden Brothers (I used to be a Good Charlotte fan, so I was surprised to see that they had split up!)
S.O.S. by Indila (Isn't it the perfect wake up in the morning song? /based on the music, not the lyrics/)

I've also discovered Shawn Colvin, the Be Good Tanyas, Gillian Welch and the Postmodern Jukebox.

Then this afternoon I added this song to my new tracklist:

Besides music I've got an awesome glimpse into the world of my friends and that totally made my day.

What's your current favourite song? Do you compile tracklists? If yes, where do you pick up songs from? Let me know in the Comments below. (Mind you, I set all comments to moderate, so it may take a while to appear.)

Where I am Now

I don't know what happened. Actually, so many things have happened lately, I should have been blogging all along. It's hard to come back. A few weeks ago I updated the design, I thought I'd come back then, then it just didn't happen. Maybe now. Perhaps, this is the perfect post to return with.

People who previously have done this: Cassie and Bre

Making: a fuss, instead of creating or simply doing things; I find it hard to get down and do things without fussing over perfection
Cooking: mostly Scandinavian recipes, and mostly the kind that uses left-overs to create a hearty meal
Drinking: tea. lots.
Reading: blogs
Wanting: everything I need from clothes to a new laptop and a professional camera
Looking: at postcards from friends and hand-written lyrics
Playing: Happy by Pharrell Williams
Wasting: time
Sewing: nothing, occasionally I knit, though, but nothing in particular, only for the sake of knitting and freeing my mind, organizing my thoughts
Wishing: I could travel wherever I want to
Enjoying: the warmth of my room
Waiting: to be able to wash, the laundry room is out of service
Liking: Mary Higgins
Wondering: how long am I walking alone
Loving: Nashville, the series
Hoping: to make the most of everything
Marvelling: at nature
Needing: love
Smelling: nothing
Wearing: comfy
Following: designers on FB
Noticing: the change of light
Knowing: in 2 weeks' time I'll be fine
Thinking: it would be great to be able to enjoy a book, which hasn't happened for a very long time, now
Bookmarking: Easter stuff for work
Opening: my mind
Giggling: at funny things my sister shares with me
Feeling: oh fuck!

Where are you now? Are you bursting with energy or trying to beat spring exhaustion? What are your plans for Easter? Let me know in the Comments below. (Mind you, I set all comments to moderate, so it may take a while to appear.)
